Insomnia and Epilepsy
Many epileptic sufferers will tell you that increased periods of insomnia leave them more vulnerable to seizures and they often seek doctor advice on medication to help them with bouts of insomnia. Some doctors will prescribe Ambien, a sedative hypnotic, and acts similarly to benzodiazepines. You must advise your doctor of other medication you are taking as ambien can severly interact with those medications and actually promote a seizure event. Also before buying ambien, be aware that withdrawal of the use of ambien, can also result in rebound insomnia and thus make you more susceptible to a siezure event.
